POST SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY FISTULA: EXPERIMENTAL MODEL IN PIGS

Introduction: Bariatric surgery is considered the primary treatment against severe obesity, as it effective in sustained weight loss and reduces prevalence of associated comorbidities. However, bariatric not free complications observed at various postoperative stages, including fistulas. Purpose: To describe creation an experimental model a gastric fistula after performance Sleeve Gastrectomy (SG) pigs. Methods: gastrectomy was performed pigs, using tubes for induction, following ethical principles animal experimentation. Results: After observation period 21 days, possible to confirm formation fistulous tract. None animals died. Conclusion: The post-Sleeve pigs efficient, effective, reproducible can be used future studies test new diagnostic methods innovations therapeutic management
